About the Disaster Relief Program 

The MSDFS, in partnership with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) and Municipal Corporations, provides disaster relief assistance to families who have lost essential household items due to floods, fires, and other disasters. Support Includes:

Household Items Replacement: (stove, bed, living room set, mattress, dining room set, washing machine, refrigerator, wardrobe, etc.) 

Financial Grants: (Clothing Grant, School Supplies Grant, Social Welfare Assistance for Housing Repairs) 

Sanitary Plumbing Assistance: (Up to $15,000 in materials) 

Temporary Food Support: (Up to $550 for families with verified food loss) 

Counselling & Psychosocial Support (Provided by the National Family Services Division – NFSD) 

Disaster relief is validated by on-site assessments conducted by MSDFS Disaster Officers or Regional Corporations.

How to Get Disaster Relief Assistance 

Step 1: Confirm Eligibility

Relief is available to victims of disasters whose homes and belongings were destroyed beyond repair. 

Step 2: Reach Out for Support

National Identification Card

Evidence of Loss (photos, reports, or validation from Regional Corporations) 

Completed Disaster Management Unit Report Form (Prepared by Regional Corporations) 

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Visit your Regional Corporation Office or MSDFS Assessment Officers to submit your application.
