Extension of Stay

Easily extend your visit to Trinidad and Tobago by scheduling an appointment.

About the Extension of Stay certificate

The Immigration Division of the Ministry of National Security facilitates Visitor Extension Services for foreign nationals wishing to extend their legal stay in Trinidad and Tobago. Whether you’re here for family, business, or leisure, this service ensures your extended stay complies with national immigration policies.

We recommend submitting your request at least two (2) weeks before your current entry or extension stamp expires to avoid overstaying penalties or interruptions in your visit.

Why Apply Early?

Foreign nationals whose initial entry period is about to expire.

Visitors who received a previous extension and wish to extend again.

Travelers who encountered unexpected delays requiring an extended stay.
