About the SEED Programme

The SEED Programme is an initiative aimed at empowering poor and vulnerable citizens in Trinidad and Tobago by providing funding, training, and business support. Whether you want to launch a new business or develop new skills for employment, SEED provides grant funding and entrepreneurial training to help individuals become financially independent.

What Seed Offers

Financial Support & Business Development

Business Grant Funding

Up to $15,000 in goods/equipment to start or expand a micro-business

Skills Training Grant

Up to $7,500 for training at an accredited institution (funds paid directly to the institution)

Entrepreneurship Support

Business planning assistance and mentorship

Employment Training

Skill-building to enhance job opportunities

Who Can Apply? 

Citizens & Permanent Residents of Trinidad and Tobago

Individuals 18 years and older

Applicants must meet financial eligibility requirements (Standard Means Test applies)

How to Apply for SEED

A Simple Path to Business & Skills Development

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Ensure you meet the citizenship, age, and financial criteria.

Step 2: Gather Required Documents

Valid ID & Birth Certificate

Proof of Address (Utility Bill)

Proof of Income (Job Letter/Payslip/NIS Letter) 

Two Letters of Recommendation 

Business Plan (Template provided) 

Training Certificates & Supplier Quotations (if applicable) 

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Visit the SEED Programme Office or contact us via phone or email. 

Step 4: Application Review & Approval 

Your application will be assessed for eligibility, and funds will be allocated upon approval.
