This includes vehicle testing, delivery, demonstration, and rental operations. Issued by the Licensing Division, this licence ensures that businesses can legally manage their motor vehicle inventory without individually registering each unit.

Types of Dealer’s Licences 

First Issue: For new applicants entering the motor vehicle trade 

Renewal: Annual renewal of an active licence

Business registration certificate 

Lease or proof of ownership of business premises 

Police certificate of character for proprietor(s) 

VAT Certificate and BIR number 

Approval from Town & Country Planning

How to Apply for a Dealer’s General Licence

Step 1: Determine the Type of Licence You Need

Step 2: Download and Complete the Application Form

Download the appropriate form for your licence type. Be sure to fill out all sections accurately.

Step 3: Gather All Required Documents

Prepare the following based on your application type:

Business Registration Certificate

Lease or Deed for business premises

VAT Certificate and BIR number

Approval from Town & Country Planning Division

Two passport-sized photos of the applicant

Police Certificate of Character for business owner(s)

Prior licence documents (for renewals or duplicates)

Step 4: Submit Your Application In Person

Bring your completed form and documents to the Licensing Division or Transport Commissioner’s Office.

Step 5: Pay the Relevant Fee

Fees vary depending on the licence type:

First Issue: $3,000 TTD

Renewal: $2,500 TTD

Duplicate: $50 TTD

Rental Operations: $2,500 TTD

Step 6: Await Approval and Collection

Once reviewed and approved, you will be notified when your Dealer’s General Licence is ready for collection.
