About the Public Assistance Grant

The Public Assistance Grant is a government initiative designed to assist individuals and families whose household income is inadequate to meet their basic needs. This grant helps persons with disabilities, caregivers, single parents, and spouses of pensioners maintain financial stability during difficult circumstances. 

Who Qualifies? 

Individuals (18+ years) certified as unable to work due to physical or mental disability 

Spouses of Senior Citizens’ Pension recipients who are unemployed or unable to work 

Widowed individuals whose deceased spouse received Senior Citizens’ Pension and Public Assistance

Single parents unable to work due to caring for a child with a disability 

Parents/guardians of children whose parent is hospitalized, deceased, imprisoned, or has abandoned the family 

Spouses or partners of imprisoned individuals

How to Apply for the Public Assistance Grant 

Simple Steps to Receive Financial Support 

Step 1: Collect & Complete Application Form

Visit your Local Social Welfare Office to collect and fill out the form

Step 2: Submit Required Documents 

Birth Certificate & National ID 

Bank Statement/Passbook

Marriage or Death Certificate (if applicable)

Medical Certification (if applying due to disability) 

Other relevant documents (e.g., proof of child custody or imprisonment status) 

Step 3: Application Review & Assessment

The Social Welfare Office will review and assess eligibility.

Step 4: Receive Grant Payments

 If approved, payments will be made monthly based on the household size.
