The Immigration Division facilitates the secure and efficient processing of eVisas and Student Permits for eligible foreign nationals. Applications are fully online, with simple checklists and helpful tools to guide you through every step.
eVisa Application
For short-term visits to Trinidad and Tobago, eligible foreign nationals from visa-required countries can apply for a Multiple Entry eVisa valid for the duration of their approved stay.
Key Requirements:
Valid passport (minimum 6 months)
Digital passport-sized photo (JPEG)
Supporting documents in PDF format
Valid email address
Visa or Mastercard for payment

Student Permit Application
For foreign nationals accepted into full-time academic programmes in Trinidad and Tobago.
Key Requirements:
Valid passport (minimum 12 months)
Acceptance letter from a designated learning institution
Digital passport-sized photo (JPEG)
Supporting documents in PDF
Assessment form (for renewals)
Valid email address
Visa or Mastercard for payment
Student Permit Application
(All fees are non-refundable)
Note: Once submitted and paid for, applications cannot be modified. Be sure to review your information carefully.
Step 1: Check Your Eligibility
You’ll be asked questions to ensure you’re eligible to apply online.
Step 2: Prepare Your Documents
Use the Check Your Photo tool to validate your digital photo.
Scan and save required supporting documents as PDFs (max 450KB each, up to 20 files).
Ensure your passport meets the minimum validity requirements.
Step 3: Start the Application
Go to the official online portal and select Apply for Visa or Apply for Permit.
Complete each section of the form carefully.
Step 4: Pay the Application Fee
Payments are made securely online using Visa or Mastercard credit/debit cards only.
You’ll receive a confirmation once payment is successful.
Step 5: Track Your Application
Use the Track Application feature to check your status.
You’ll receive an email with your eVisa or Student Permit once approved.
