Farm Programme

Earn income and gain experience through seasonal agricultural work in Canada.

About the Farm Programme

The Commonwealth Caribbean Seasonal Agricultural Worker Programme (CCSAWP) is a flagship initiative by the Ministry of Labour to expand employment opportunities for citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.

This programme offers temporary agricultural work on Canadian farms in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta, lasting between six weeks and eight months.

Participants engage in cultivating and harvesting fruits, vegetables, flowers, tobacco, and other crops, as well as working in nurseries and hydroponics. Beyond earning an income, workers gain valuable agricultural knowledge and exposure to foreign practices.
