| Description | BACKGROUND: The population growth in the South-Western Region has caused an exponential rise in the number of patients and contractors with the rippled effect of additional paperwork and files that need to be general to serve patients and facilitate contractors. Due to the legislations and regulations that govern the storage and retention of files for a certain number of years, the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) and San Fernando Teaching Hospital (SFTH) is bound by law. This has led to the filing capacity being exceeded its filing capacity on campus. Hence, as part of it’s a road map to improve patient service, SWRHA is proactively planning, preparing to expand the filing storage capacity of the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) and the San Fernando Teaching Hospital (SFTH) which would in turn require the design and construction of a centralized warehouse. This expansion is expected not only to increase the file storage capacity but will contribute to the organisation and retrieval of patient and contractor information. Thus, the South-West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) is seeking a reputable and experienced design-build/turnkey firm to design &/ optimize and to construct a centralized warehouse in Couva. The awarded design-build/turnkey firm will be expected to facilitate/verify concept design, validate, certify and approve all designs and develop all drawings and documents requested by SWRHA designated representative documents, obtain legal and statutory approvals, populate a scope of works, method statements, priced bill of quantities, written and pictorial reports and project management documentation. |
