How do I register a business or incorporate a company on TTBizLink?

To register a business, you must first obtain a ttconnect ID and complete a TTBizLink Registration Form which would then enable your access to the e-Company Registration Module on the Single Electronic Window (SEW) Portal. Clients are also encouraged to utilize the automated/online ttconnect ID process which provides client convenience and eliminates face to face contact. For guidance, please visit the following website; www.ttconnect.gov.tt

The TTBizLink Company Registration e-Service allows individuals and Attorneys-at-Law practicing in Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) to electronically conduct a Name Search and complete online applications for Name Reservation, Business Registration and Company Incorporation. These applications are reviewed by Companies Registry, Office of Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs.

To register a company/business using the e-Company Registration Module on TTBizLink please follow these steps:

Step 1 – Login to www.ttbizlink.gov.tt with your ttconnect ID and password.

Step 2 – Click on the e-Company Registration (Subscribed) link.  The link will be highlighted in red once the role is subscribed.

Step 3 – Begin your Registration by clicking Name Search. Use all available criteria to ensure that your selected name is available and that there are no similar registered names.

Step 4 – Once the search process is complete, proceed to the Name Reservation section and click New Application. Proceed to fill out the required fields which will be identified by a red asterisk (*) and click Submit when completed at which point the application is automatically sent to Companies Registry for review.

Step 5 – Payment must be made via one of the three (3) available options to trigger review by the approver. Please visit the Companies Registry Payment Portal to effect online payment for the submitted Name Reservation. The link to the payment Portal is at; https://rgd.legalaffairs.gov.tt/companies/. Applicants will need to have access to their TTBizLink Application Reference Number and a valid credit card or VISA debit card to complete their transaction.

Step 6 – Once reviewed, applicants will receive an email indicating if the name is approved, queried or rejected. If the Name Reservation is approved, the email will provide instructions to proceed to Register/Incorporate the Business/Company. Upon receipt of approval for the Name Reservation, applicants must click New Application in either the Business Registration (Sole Trader and Partnerships) or Company Incorporation (Limited Liability Companies).  Fill out all required fields, and click submit. Please note that if you click save, this action will only save a draft copy of the application.

Step 7 – After the application has been successfully reviewed by Companies Registry, applicants will receive an email indicating that the Business Registration/Company Incorporation is Approved-In-Principle. Applicants are then required to print the approved application and payment acknowledgement, before proceeding to make final payment and collect the Certificate. Note that if payment was made online, you would need to print a copy of your Online Payment Receipt.  Please note that an appointment is required to visit the Office of Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs'. This appointment must be made using its Online Appointment System which is found at; https://appointments.gov.tt/
