YTEPP - The Youth Training and Employment Partnership Programme

YTEPP Limited is an agency of the Ministry of Education with the core mandate of providing  technical and vocational skills training to various at-risk nationals between the ages of 15 to 60 (including youth, unemployed, retrenched/displaced persons and convicted inmates), which would enhance their chances of securing wage employment or self-employment.

The Youth Training Department positions young persons between the ages of 15 to 35 years, to acquire the requisite skills to become successful business owners or increase their marketability. Training is holistic in scope and provides vocational skills training, entrepreneurial development and life skills to enhance the quality of life of our participants.

The Retraining Department, targets persons between the ages of 25 and 60 years who are retrenched, displaced and unemployed. Courses offered are designed to equip unemployed individuals with new and transferable skills needed to enhance their opportunities for employment and self-employment.

Over the period 2008 to 2018, YTEPP Limited have trained over 80,000 persons in a wide range of Technical and Vocational skills that are in demand. These sectors include Construction, Agricultural, Creative, Personal Services, Hospitality and Tourism, Maritime, and Manufacturing which lead to certification via the National Examinations Council (NEC) or the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ).
